Where does the time go…

G’day ladies and gentlemen,

It’s been a while. When I took a moment off, I thought it would only be two or three weeks, but alas an already busy year decided that was the moment to get even busier. When I started this blog about a year ago, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with it exactly. I had an idea. I knew that it was to be focused on street photography and on Sydney. I also knew that I didn’t want it to be just a collection of strong individual shots, but rather groups of shots that together told a story. Indeed, many of the shots I post are not especially interesting in and of themselves. But they fit into patterns and flesh out realities, plus at some point in the future they will be more interesting. Sometimes the most ordinary shots, one’s that simply capture an ordinary street scene, can become the most fascinating a decade or two later on.

Anyhow. I know the direction I want to take the blog now, hence the decision to take a break whilst I sorted it out. But alas I’ve yet to find the moment to find a new theme and organise all that side of things and then make a selection of images for the first series. I really do hope to get there sometime in the next two or three weeks. In the meantime, I will try and post a small sequence sometime over the next week or so, to break the ice so to speak. I also look forward to catching up more fully on many of your wonderful blogs too.
